LLNRD Initiates Parks Assistance Program

Financial assistance up to $3,000 could be awarded to communities in the Lower Loup Natural Resources District to help fund projects that would improve parks and recreational opportunities.  Passed by the LLNRD Board of Directors in June, 2018, the program will fund up to 20 percent of projects with total costs not exceeding $15,000.  Projects that exceed $15,000 might still receive NRD support, but will not be funded through this program.

Project requests may include, but are not limited to, items such as playground equipment, park fencing, park seating, park restrooms, rest area equipment, lake/pond docks, boat ramps, etc.

The application form and guidelines for the Parks and Recreation Financial Assistance Program can be found here.  Those community representatives with questions regarding the program can contact LLNRD Projects Technician Brian Kolar at (308) 728-3221.
